Problem Sight

Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: 19 July 2026

This policy explains what information Problem Sight (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using problemsight.com you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data — your email, display name, and handle when you sign up.
  • Content — the threads, comments, and votes you create (public by nature).
  • Technical data — basic log and device information needed to run and secure the Service.

How we use it

To operate your account, display your contributions, keep you signed in, secure the Service against abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies & analytics

We use two categories of tracking:

  • Essential — a single cookie that keeps you signed in (your session). It’s required for the Service to function and is never used for advertising.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) — cookieless, anonymous usage statistics that help us improve the product. It doesn’t track you across sites or store personal data.
  • Google Analytics (optional) — only loads if you click “Accept all cookies” on our banner. It sets cookies to measure traffic. It stays off unless you opt in, and you can change your mind any time below.

Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see “Your rights”). Public content you posted may remain visible unless you remove it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email hello@problemsight.com and we’ll respond promptly.
